Trademark Registration in Uruguay

Uruguay is not a member of the Madrid Protocol. Applications can be filed through a local attorney. Trademark registration takes about 18 months. A simply signed power of attorney is required. A specimen of the mark must be sent. A multi-class system is used, based on the international Nice Classification.
