Trademarks
The Madrid Protocol is a filing system to which more than 80 countries are party. Türkiye is also a party to the Madrid Protocol, so trademark applications covering member countries can be filed through the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). To file under the Madrid Protocol, the applicant's trademark must also be registered or applied for in Türkiye. The Madrid System is advantageous in terms of both cost and processing time.
