Design
A notarized power of attorney must be submitted. Front/rear, right/left, bottom/top and perspective views of each design to be registered must be submitted. A description of the design must be submitted in Portuguese. After examination, the design is published in the official bulletin for 60 days, during which third parties may file an opposition. Design protection lasts 5 years. This term can be extended 5 times, by 5 years each time, providing a total of 25 years of protection.
