Trademark Registration in Guatemala

Guatemala is not a member of the Madrid Protocol. Applications can be filed through a local attorney. The registration process is completed in approximately 15 months. A notarized and consularly legalized power of attorney is required. A complete list of the classes for which protection is sought must be submitted. The Nice Classification is used. No additional fee applies when the description of the selected classes is up to 7 lines long. Beyond 7 lines, an additional fee is charged.
