Trademark Registration in Belize

Trademark registration takes 6 months on average. If a priority document is used, it must be submitted within 6 months of the filing date. The applicant's details, the name of the mark (and the logo, if any) and a simply signed power of attorney are required. A list of goods and services according to the international Nice Classification is required. A multi-class system is used, but it is limited to five classes. The international Nice Classification applies. The term of protection is 10 years. The trademark can be used indefinitely provided that it is renewed every 10 years. Renewals are made for 10-year periods.
