Trademark Registration in Albania

Registration with the Albanian Patents and Trademarks Office takes 9–11 months. If the Office issues a refusal, an appeal can be filed within 2 months. The applicant may be a natural person, a legal entity or a partnership. Detailed information about the applicant is required. In addition, trademark registration requires a simply signed power of attorney, a representation of the mark and a list of goods prepared according to the international Nice Classification. Once the registration fee has been paid, the trademark is protected for 10 years from the filing date.
