Patent
The Dominican Republic is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 30 months. Applications can be filed via the PCT or by appointing an attorney resident in the Dominican Republic. A Spanish translation of the specification documents is required. A power of attorney notarized and legalized by the consulate is required. A declaration (in Spanish) explaining the relationship between the applicant and the inventor must be provided.
