Nicaragua is not a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Applications can be filed through a local attorney in the country. A notarized power of attorney legalized by the consulate is required. A Spanish translation of the full specification is required. If there are drawings, 3 copies must be submitted. If priority is claimed, a certified copy of the priority document must be submitted.
