Design
A power of attorney notarized and legalized by the consulate must be provided. The trade registry gazette must also be provided, notarized and legalized by the consulate. If the designer and the applicant are not the same person, a document evidencing the assignment of rights between them must be provided. At least 2 images must be provided for each design, together with a description explaining the images. After examination, the design is published for 90 days. Oppositions can be filed during this period. Design protection lasts 10 years. This term cannot be extended.
