Burkina Faso is a party to the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 31 months. Patent protection lasts 20 years. A simply signed power of attorney is sufficient. The search report is issued by the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO).
