Patent
Sierra Leone is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 31 months. For patents, it is also a member of ARIPO. A simply signed power of attorney must be submitted. If priority is claimed, the priority document must be submitted within 6 months.
Utility Model
The requirements are the same as for patents. The term of utility model protection is 10 years.
