Patent
Gabon is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 30 months. If priority is claimed, an English or French translation of the priority document must be submitted. If the applicant is not located in an OAPI member state, an attorney must be appointed.
Utility Model
Utility model protection is available. The requirements are the same as for patents. The term of protection is 10 years.
