Madagascar is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 30 months. A notarized power of attorney must be submitted. For national phase entries via the PCT, a notarized power of attorney is not required. The full specification must be submitted in French. A local attorney resident in Madagascar must be appointed.
