Trademark registration in Thailand

Thailand is not a member of the Madrid Protocol. Applications can be filed through a local attorney in the country. A notarized power of attorney is required. One print of the mark is required for black-and-white marks and 20 prints for color marks. A 5 × 5 cm specimen of the logo and a list of the classes in which the trademark will be used must be provided in Thai. The international Nice Classification is used. The term of protection is 10 years. The trademark can be used indefinitely by renewing it every 10 years. Once the trademark passes examination, it is published in the official bulletin for 3 months. Third parties may file oppositions during this period. Renewal must be carried out every 10 years.
