Patent
Thailand is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 30 months. If the applicant and the inventor are different, the rights between them must be explained. After examination, the application is published in the Official Gazette for 3 months. Third parties may file an opposition during this period. The term of patent protection is 20 years.
Utility Model
The requirements are the same as for patents. The term of utility model protection is 10 years.
