Patent
Lebanon is not a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Applications can be filed through a local attorney in the country. The term of patent protection is 20 years. After filing, the office generally examines and registers the patent within two weeks. A simply signed power of attorney is required. The full specification must be submitted in Arabic, English or French. Two copies of the drawings must be submitted. If priority is claimed, the priority document must be submitted within 3 months, translated into Arabic, English or French.
