Azerbaijan is a party to the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The deadline for entry via the PCT is 30 months. If the applicant is Arab or Turkish, a simply signed power of attorney is sufficient. If the applicant is not Arab or Turkish, a notarized power of attorney is required.
Utility model
Utility model protection is available. All requirements that apply to patent applications also apply to utility models. If the applicant is Arab or Turkish, a simply signed power of attorney is sufficient. If the applicant is not Arab or Turkish, a notarized power of attorney is required.
