Russia is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 31 months. A simply signed power of attorney is required. The term of patent protection is 20 years. A Russian translation of the description is required. If the applicant is not the inventor, a document naming the inventor is required.
Utility Model
The documents required for a utility model application are the same as for patents. The total term of protection is 13 years.
