A simple power of attorney is sufficient for filing. Patent protection lasts 20 years. The patent application process is completed within 3 years. The application is published after 18 months.
Utility model
Utility model registration is completed within 3–10 months. The term of protection is 10 years. The requirements for a utility model application are the same as for patents.
