North Korea is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 31 months. A simply signed power of attorney is required. For PCT applications to enter the national phase in North Korea, an attorney resident in North Korea must be appointed. If the applicant and the inventor are not the same, a declaration explaining the relationship between them must be submitted.
