Qatar is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 30 months. Legal entities must submit a commercial registration certificate. A notarized and consularly legalized power of attorney is required. Patent protection lasts 20 years. An opposition can be filed within 2 months after publication in the official bulletin.
