Patent
North Macedonia is a member of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The deadline for entering the national phase via the PCT is 31 months. A simply signed power of attorney is required. The term of patent protection is 20 years. An applicant not resident in North Macedonia must file through a Macedonian representative.
Utility Model
The term of utility model protection is 10 years. The requirements are the same as for patents.
